I had an interesting/nervous but great weekend. When I woke up Friday morning, I was all ready to get organized in the new house. When I stood up, I felt a sharp pain through out my right leg and could not put any weight on it. I immediately noticed that my right ankle swelled up like a balloon and looked unusually different from my left ankle. I started to massage my leg and every time I touched certain spots, it hurt so much! I thought maybe this is part of pregnancy and is normal and that it would get better through out the day. However, I noticed that the baby wasn't kicking or felt much movement. I called the doctor and explained my symptoms and told me to come to the hospital. As I was very calm and trying to figure out what else we would need to for the baby incase I went into labor that day, Eus was freaking out and didn't know what to do.
When I got to the hospital, they started to check baby's heartbeat and my right leg. After 5 hours of full examination, they told me that the baby was fine and there is nothing too severe with my leg. They told me to stay at home and fully rest.
When we got home, we called my friend who was getting ready for my baby shower for the next morning and had to cancel it. I felt so bad, she prepared so much for so long. But she was so kind to understand that my baby and my health came first. She not only understood my situation but also came up with an amazing idea. Even though I wouldn't be able to make it, she still did the shower at her house and took pictures and had everyone write messages/advices. After the shower was done she brought food and a bunch of gifts to my house. I was so touched. She also set up a dinner schedule so that sisters in the church will bring me food for dinner for a week. I didn't even know how to thank them for everything, I was so moved by the love and care they had for our family.
Later that evening, my sister-in-law and her family came down all the way from Philadelphia to take care of me. Yeah... Everyone is spoiling me, right? They spent the night with us and we had fun family time together.
I had a very special weekend filled with love. Such a blessing to have family and friends who share Christ's love. My husband and I kept saying how we need to share the love with people who need it more than us.
