We woke up 8 in the morning, which doesn't happen very often on Saturday at the Park residence, to go to Eastern Market. We were pretty frustrated with the quality of the fruit we buy from Costco and other grocery stores here and thought we should check out Eastern Market.
When we got to the market, it was empty. We thought they were closed. There were hardly any vendors or customers. We saw a vendor standing by his truck and asked him if the market was closed today and he said, "No, people are just afraid to drive in the snow. The market is still open, no one shows up when it snows..."
I couldn't believe it. Okay, so it was the second snow fall of the winter but first to actually stick and it wasn't even an inch of snow.

REALLY??
Well luckily, they the indoor market was opened and we were able to look around.
Look! Eus obviously liked the meat section. He passed each meat vendor real slowly, staring at every piece of meat. This is what he looked like walking through the entire market. He kept saying, "Look at that bacon."
We only bought fresh Fuji apples and it tastes so good! It's so crunchy and sweet, I'm so excited to eat them every morning :)
For lunch, we found a new really good restaurant! It was on the Food Network a while back. Guy Fieri from "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" ate there. It's a Salvadorian restaurant. Their horchata and maracuja drinks are the best I've ever had. The Beef Salvadoran Soup Eus ordered was really good too.
I guess we have to come back when there is absolutely NO snow.
