Beautiful city, Washington DC

After our typical Saturday grocery run, we decided to actually go inside the The Capitol. Though Euseung had been inside, I never went. I always wanted to go inside but never got around to it, even though we have been all around the National Mall, Smithsonian, Library of Congress and even the steps and pool of the Capitol. The building is so grand, just looking at that beautiful building is enough. I heard so many cool things about it and finally decided to go. The weather was extremely hot and humid. Finding a parking spot in DC is always difficult, it's like finding gold. We drove around forever and finally found a spot, it wasn't too far but not close. We strolled through the streets and tried to enjoy the heat and humidity.

When we got to The Capitol, the building was closed... We always do this... very impulsive... no plans... aghhhhhhhhhhhhhh..

We were pretty depressed and tried to think of other things we might able to do, after all, we spent so much time looking for a parking spot and walked this far. With the heat and SJ being grumpy, I thought it might be a good idea to sit under a tree and let SJ take a nap. When we sat down, the nice subtle breeze was exceptionally excellent! We loved it! We lay in the grass for almost an hour and SJ took a very needed nap.

It was a very unexpected Saturday afternoon.

He has been laughing so much over the weekend! He enjoys his daddy being at home. Don't go to work Daddy!!!!! hehehehe

Today was my first Mother's Day!! Hehe I feel old... I was very excited and was looking forward to celebrate Mother's Day because I can ask my husband for things that I want! Hahahahaha however, when my husband asked me what I wanted for Mother's Day, all I wanted was a cute card with a looooooooong message ;) I have everything I need and I rather save the money to get SJ nice things. My husband was disappointed since it would be my first Mother's Day. So he made me brunch AND dinner and cleaned the entire kitchen for me.

And... One cute card wasn't big enough to write all that he wanted to say so I got three different Mother's Day cards from just one person, my husband.

Doctor's visit

Okay, so we went to SJ's 2-month check up. I was super-duper nervous about this because the last visit to the doctors, we were told that he'll get 4 different immunization shots for this check up. I have heard of some babies getting high fevers and other scary side-effects. Look! I am smiling but I was super nervous when I got out of my house...

When I went in, it reminded me of our first visit to the doctors when SJ was 4 days old. He was diagnosed with Jaundice and we had to come for blood tests every single day for 4 days. I was more hurt than SJ when the nurse drew his blood. Ugh.... growing up I didn't hate going to the doctors or hospitals but now I do. I just can't see my baby crying because of the pain.

My face got so red. I think mine turned more red than SJ's. 

Daddy's calming hands calmed him down (at least my husband thinks that..hehe actually it was his pacifier that calmed him down).

Anyways, his weight was 14.1 pounds at 2 months which places him in the 95th percentile. His heigh is in the 75th percentile and his head size is in the 50th percentile. BIG KID.

Yeah... I don't really like visiting the doctor's any more.

I am a mom *.*

On Friday, my baby and I went for a walk. We surely enjoyed the nice weather!

On Saturday, we all went to an event called, Celebrate Mama up in Maryland. I heard they were giving away free samples to moms so I had to go :) I got to meet new moms and their babies (and my baby was the cutest! >.< )  and talked about what it's like to have a baby and all that. And of course, we filled my big diaper bag with a bunch of samples including a ton of breast pads, gel pads, nipple cream from Lansinoh (my favorite), water pouch and containers that attach to the stroller from Britax, healthy protein shakes for moms, and lots of coupons. But I have to say my favorite part of the event was that I learned about new products and brands for feeding. In a few months, he will be eating food, and I was excited to learn more about it. Absolutely love being a MOM

Twoooooooo month

He is already two months old!! Why so FAST?????

It's true what they say, "babies grow so fast." I went through all of his pictures (something like 2,000 pictures that I took in the last two months. hehehe) and I started to miss him being so small. I mean I love him being all fun right now but he was so tender and sweet.

When he was just born, he had curly hair and had very skinny long arms and legs.

Now two months later, being the good eater that he is, (that's milk, he is an aggressive and messy eater)

He comfortably fits into 6 month old size clothes and wears size 3 diapers which means, he weighs over 16 pounds...
